The client, a company in the Point of Sale industry, is seeking a Design Engineer to assist in modifying and designing bespoke displays for clients in Northampton.
The role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position, with proficiency in Solidworks and familiarity with a Product Lifecycle Management system being beneficial.
The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating engineering drawings, providing technical support, and liaising with clients and project managers throughout the product prototype process.
The salary for this position is up to £44,000, with additional benefits including 24 days of annual leave, private medical insurance, and opportunities for future progression.

Design Engineer / Northampton / Up to £44,000Overview:Our client who are a in the Point of Sale industry are currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their team to assist in modifying existing and designing new bespoke displays for clients.This is an excellent opportunity to excel your design career with future progression available.Role & Responsibilities:

Use Solidworks and AutoCAD
Provide technical support and assembly drawings to support the sales team in quoting
Create and maintain engineering drawings and specifications to the customers needs
Using the Product Lifecycle Management system to complete drawings
Attend client meetings
Liaise with project managers and manufacturing team throughout the product prototype process
Produce detailed reports from meetings regarding key points
Specify best materials for the project with regards to project
Liaise with clients regarding specific requirements
Creating installation manuals
Update planning schedules

Essential Skills & Experience:

2+ years working in a similar position in the Point of Sale industry
Confidence to speak to clients
Experience on Solidworks
Experience on a PLM system would be beneficial
Team player

Up to £44,000 basic salary
