Inventory/ Stock Controller

Salary: £14.42 per hour (£30,000 full time equivalent) - £16.83 per hour (£35,000 full time equivalent)

Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch). No weekends.

Brackmills, Northampton. Office based.

Match Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of their client based in Northampton. You’ll be working full time - office based at their Head Office. Our client is a globally renown manufacturing business, supplying most of the well-known brands like Amazon, Royal Mail, McVities, Waitrose and John Lewis and many more.

This person will sit amongst the Finance team and will be responsible for Demand/ Inventory planning to ensure they have the required stock in their warehouse at the point of when it’s needed to be dispatched to their clients. This is not a purchasing role. All stock is based at their European HO factory. It’s about having the stock in Northampton at the point of when it’s required to avoid delays.

The role requires strict attention to detail to ensure that stock is correctly recorded and monitored."

Summary of the day to day duties of the role:• Tracking stock levels across the business to always ensure adequate minimum stock levels.• Ordering stock when required considering supplier lead time and demand for parts.• Manage the replenishment of engineer’s van stocks.• Overseeing stock transfers.• Oversee cyclical stock taking of all parts.• Manage stock takes ensuring variances are investigated and adjustments posted.• Stock Audits, conduct random spot checks to verify the accuracy of stock levels.• Monitor and report on slow moving and obsolete stock.• Reconcile stock reports ensuring pricing is correct and up to date.• Processing returns to HO European factory.• Space management, working with warehouse staff to ensure stock is organised efficiently.• Implementing or improving stock processes and procedures.
