For this vacancy we have partnered with one of the areas leading legal 500 law firms. Due to expanse they have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Employment Solicitor to join their well estblished team based out of lovely offices in Northampton.

Please note we are considering a range of experience for this role from NQ to 5+ years PQE.

You will need to be competent at working independently, handling your own caseload from initial instruction through to completion, and providing guidance and mentoring to more junior team members.

This is a role where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging but supported career.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will undertake a diverse caseload incorporating contentious and non-contentious work for clients.

Our client works with a diverse client base including SMEs, OMBs, and listed companies. In addition, they also act for employees.

No two days are the same… you could be working on anything from Settlement Agreements to providing corporate support for M&A work as well as the full range of employment matters including, but not limited to:

  • Assisting with Modern Slavery Act compliance,
  • Playing an integral advisory role with a variety of projects (including re-structuring, changing terms and conditions of employment, and large-scale redundancy exercises),
  • Providing strategic advice in connection with Boardroom/SMT disputes,
  • Providing ad hoc advice on operational HR matters,
  • Assisting with data protection compliance, and
  • Representing clients in employment tribunals.

This is a role that will grow with you, and you’ll also have the opportunity to work on projects in conjunction with our Corporate & Commercial, Commercial Litigation, and Commercial Property teams.

On top of that, you’ll have first-class support from an award-winning Marketing Team, that will assist you with business development opportunities.

The package for this role will be negotiable depending on levels of experience. We envisage the salary will range from £40,000 for NQ and increasing to £65,000+ for higher levels of PQE. There is also an extremely lucrative benefits package available with the role.
