Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on contract and procurement matters.
- Work alongside the procurement team to support various in-house client departments.
- Maintain a full caseload of contracts, including frameworks, call-off contracts, bespoke drafting, and concession contracts.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for public health, grant funding agreements, and subsidy control.
- Contribute to policy development and procedures related to contracts and procurement.
- Train and supervise Paralegals and Legal Assistants as required.
- Represent the legal team in council committees and meetings as necessary.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law, and policy changes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant experience.
- Strong background in contract and procurement law.
- Experience providing legal advice and representation on complex matters.
