Role Overview:The successful candidate will provide essential support to the Residential Property team, managing a varied caseload that includes conveyancing transactions, sales, purchases, and re-mortgages. This role requires strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in residential property law and a proven ability to deliver exceptional administrative and legal assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting solicitors with the preparation and drafting of documents related to residential property transactions, including contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
  • Managing and organizing client files, ensuring that all documentation is accurately maintained and up-to-date.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other third parties to provide updates and address inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Conducting legal research to support the team’s activities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of documents for submission to the Land Registry and mortgage lenders.
  • Coordinating meetings and managing the team's calendar.
  • Supporting the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant within a Residential Property department is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the conveyancing process and residential property transactions.
  • Proficiency in legal research and document management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.
