Deconstruction Team Leader – Nights Northampton – Lodge Farm areaMonday to FridayNight Shift – 12 hours shift – 6PM-6AMPay rate: £12.89 per hourTemp to PermThe Deconstruction Team Leader/FLTThe Deconstruction Team Leader will lead a team of 3 who will be involved in end-of-life carpet deconstruction and recycling and will support the overall process line delivery. Effective delivery of the role is vital in enabling the delivery of process and the necessary quality of end reclaimed product.The role reports to the Night Shift Supervisor but will also regularly interact with other process line operatives to ensure effective delivery of the whole process and to implement line improvement and enhanced performance wherever possible.Initially part of a small team setting up and establishing the company, it is anticipated that the role may vary and adapt to different responsibilities.Duties and Responsibilities
  • ensuring that the correct type, quality, and uncontaminated carpet is sorted and segregated ready for feeding into the facility
  • supporting the management of all waste carpet vehicle movements, bringing waste material to the Innovate Recycle facility – including safe unloading and co-ordination of the incoming material within the facility
  • supporting the efficient removal of non-target material, co-ordinating vehicle movements
  • supporting the correct, efficient and target production operation of the process line and its constituent machinery parts and supporting machinery (e.g. the forklift trucks)
  • contributing to the maintenance of a clean and tidy working area
  • Agree and report on weekly and monthly key performance indicators; commensurate with the Shift Lead area of responsibility and overall facility performance targets.
  • Support for the maintenance of the company human resources structures, procedures and record keeping.
  • Strict observation of company health and safety policy and guidelines within the factory and process line area – and as a contributor to the overall health and safety of the Innovate Recycle operating site named above.
  • Build a headline understanding of the core purposes of the business; recycling polypropylene and other materials from end-of-life carpet and linked products; and championing the circular economy, in the carpet industry and in the increasing use of recycled plastics.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a line operative in recycling or linked, process line based industries, including Health and Safety awareness.
  • Motivated and flexible, part of a multi-tasking team launching and establishing this technology start up; willing to adapt and take on a range of tasks to support the development of the company.
  • FLT Licence
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
