Role Overview:As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of container haulage services. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a proven track record in business development, ideally within the transport or logistics sector, with a focus on container movements. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key industry stakeholders including shipping lines, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Acquisition: Identify and target new business opportunities to win long-term, profitable contracts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong, lasting relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other key partners.
  • Market Analysis: Keep ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement sales strategies to pitch and present services, negotiate rates, and close deals.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations to secure mutually beneficial agreements for both clients and the company.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and top-tier customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales pipeline and performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Proven success in business development, preferably within transport or logistics, with a focus on container haulage.
