Be part of this exciting journey as they build and shape the distribution centre together.Pay rates06:00 - 14:00 - £15.25 per hour 14:00 - 22:00 - £16.77 per hourKey Responsibilities as a Shift Supervisor
  • Overseeing daily operations and ensuring efficient workflow within the warehouse environment
  • Supporting the entire Warehouse Operative team, ensuring adequate resources are in place to fulfil business demands
  • Responsible for ensuring the pick and pack operation meets agreed SLA’s, whilst maintaining accurate inventory records, managing safety, and optimising warehouse processes to achieve and improve efficiency at all times.
  • Minimise stock loss by ensuring that put-away and replenishment/bulk movements are completed accurately
  • Manage the warehouse operational space and ensure accurate loading/unloading for timed arrivals and departures
  • Conduct QC checks on inbound and outbound deliveries, upholding the highest standards
  • Ensure accurate and timely stock replenishment is completed
  • Responsible for continuous improvement. Leading initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving service, and enhancing overall operational efficiency
  • Manage current warehouse processes, develop, and adapt to improve efficiencies and mitigate risk of injury
  • Foster communication and collaboration among warehouse staff to promote a safer working environment
  • Assess risks related to manual handling, equipment operation, and workplace ergonomics to prevent injuries and ensure a safer working environment
  • Ensure that the working environment is safe and well maintained through daily inspections
  • Conduct regular audits of the racking, fire call points, emergency exits, first aid kits, and warehouse walk-throughs
  • Ensure that all equipment is safe to operate through daily auditing of pre-start checklists
  • Ensure that all operatives are issued with and wear appropriate PPE

  • Excellent understanding of logistics operations
  • Good leadership skills, able to lead by example and work as a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task, and manage deadlines
  • Experience of supervising small teams or processes in a logistics environment
  • Drive to ensure SLA’s and quality targets are met and exceeded.
