The Role

  • · Minimise production downtime, by carrying out routine scheduled maintenance (PPMs) and respond to unplanned breakdowns with the stipulated timeframes.
  • · Ensure that production operations maximise output and minimise downtime safely through regular planned maintenance.
  • · Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner, working alongside engineering and production colleagues to minimise disruption.
  • · Optimise the performance and lifecycle of operational equipment with regular preventative maintenance, working with the Production team, to identify and understand causes of equipment wear and underperformance.
  • · Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
  • · Carry out all work according to Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Dynamic Risk Assessments and company policies and procedures.


The Requirements

  • · In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
  • · Electrical & Mechanical Competencies
  • · Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) - Advantageous
  • · Electrical bias - Advantageous
  • · Experience of working in a fast paced production environment for a minimum of 2 years - Essential
