Job role: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire 
Hours: 7:30-17:00 Monday to Thursday, 11:30 finish on Friday
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Benefits:

  • Salary between £35,000-£40,000 dependent on experience
  • Overtime available and paid at 1.5x, 2x on Sundays

The Role:

  • Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on CNC and Cutting machinery
  • Assist with the build and repair of a variety of cutting machinery based on site
  • Work on new machinery and rebuild of older in the factory and also field on occasions.
  • Some machines are large and require cranes etc but any handling equipment or specialist tools will be supplied.
  • Conducting planned & preventative maintenance on an array of automated machinery
  • Adhere to company Health & Safety policies

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Mechanical and Electrical fault finding capabilities (essential)
  • Multi-skilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias – electrical bias preferred but not required (essential)
  • Previous experience surrounding hydraulics and pneumatics (essential)
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings (essential)
    • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
    • Bench fitting, machining and fabrication experience (advantageous)
    • Knowledge of safety control (advantageous)
    • Ability to work with little supervision, self - motivated, willing to learn and ability to provide solutions to problems.
