Our client, a reputable construction company, is looking for a skilled Site Agent with experience in small highways civils schemes to join their team. This exciting opportunity involves working on footpath reconstructions, installing highway gullies, manholes, drainage pipes, and other related works. The role will be based primarily in Northants, with additional works across Beds and Bucks. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a minimum 3-month contract with the possibility of long-term work, with the current contract running until 2029.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage small highways civils schemes, including footpath reconstructions and drainage installations.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate site activities and supervise teams of operatives.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Provide site reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- CSCS Site Manager Card
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
- NRSWA Supervisor
- First Aid (ideally 3-day)
- Experience in small highways civils schemes (footpath reconstructions, drainage installations, gullies/manholes)
- Previous experience as a Site Agent or similar role.
Additional Requirements:
- Ideally based locally to Northants or Milton Keynes.
- Own transport is essential for travel between sites.
- Availability to start immediately
