We are supporting a growing FMCG business in their search for a seasoned production manager to oversee 30 shop floor operators. Following a recent restructure, this role has been created to supp port the Operations Director in improving efficiency and delivering change management initiatives. The Production Manager will be used to high speed manufacturing processes and have proven themselves in a leadership role previously.Core duties include, but not limited to:
  • Understand and support change that delivers higher productivity, better quality and a more motivated work force
  • Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing methodologies including OEE measurements, VSM and Kanban. 
  • Monitor and analyse production metrics and work directly with the Planning department to implement improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Develop a ‘right first time’ culture that delivers best quality and efficiency consistently
  • Efficiently plan & coordinate employee tasks and schedules to maximise resource efficiency.
  • To ensure all operatives are fully trained, competent and signed off using documented training aids.
  • Ensure the working environment is safe and all relevant safety documentation is up to date
  • Support the compliance to BRC, ISO9001 and ISO14001
  • Embrace problem solving tools and techniques to ensure correct root cause analysis is completed where necessary
  • Develop effective working relations with all department personnel to ensure strong team philosophy
