The Composite Design Engineer position is a 6-month rolling contract based in Northamptonshire, offering a salary range of £45-£60 per hour, negotiable and inside IR35.

A degree in Automotive, Motorsport, or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum classification of 2:1 is required.

In this role, you'll take the lead in designing and developing advanced composite components that drive high-performance engineering forward. Your expertise will contribute to some of the most ambitious projects in motor sport and beyond.

What You'll Be Doing

Designing composite components from initial concepts to final implementation.
Producing laminate specification booklets and tooling designs.
Collaborating closely with structural engineers to optimise efficiency and performance.
Researching new materials and processes to maintain industry-leading standards.
Resolving design challenges with practical and innovative solutions.

What We're Looking For

A degree in Automotive, Motor sport, or Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above).
Extensive experience in designing composite components, ideally in F1 or top-level motor sport.
Proficiency in using relevant tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
A creative and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work under pressure.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.
