Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of forklift trucks and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, and will be committed to delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Repair:
    • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a wide range of forklift trucks (electric, diesel, LPG).
    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
    • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
    • Carry out thorough inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition of equipment.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication with customers regarding the status of repairs and any additional work required.
    • Respond promptly to service calls and ensure timely resolution of issues.
    • Offer professional advice on equipment maintenance and potential upgrades.
  • Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
    • Complete all required documentation, including service reports, job sheets, and parts requisitions.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Parts & Inventory:
    • Identify required replacement parts and liaise with the parts department to ensure availability.
    • Manage stock levels of commonly used parts and tools in the service vehicle.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Service Manager and other engineers to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service delivery.
    • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up to date with new technologies and service techniques.
