Job Title: Forklift Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a range of forklift trucks and associated equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills, and will be committed to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a wide range of forklift trucks (electric, diesel, LPG).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Carry out thorough inspections and provide detailed reports on the condition of equipment.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clear communication with customers regarding the status of repairs and any additional work required.
- Respond promptly to service calls and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Offer professional advice on equipment maintenance and potential upgrades.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out.
- Complete all required documentation, including service reports, job sheets, and parts requisitions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Parts & Inventory:
- Identify required replacement parts and liaise with the parts department to ensure availability.
- Manage stock levels of commonly used parts and tools in the service vehicle.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Service Manager and other engineers to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service delivery.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to stay up to date with new technologies and service techniques.
