Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Northampton
Rate: £30.00 - £35.00 (Outside IR35)
Initial 3 months contract with possible extention

Our Client are a leading provider of innovative engineering solutions, is looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. If you’re passionate about solving complex challenges and working on cutting-edge projects, this is the opportunity for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and developing mechanical systems and components for a variety of projects
- Managing tasks and deliverables independently, ensuring quality and timely completion
- Liase with suppliers regarding requirements, costs and performance
- Working with Autodesk, SolidWorks, and Inventor to create 3D designs and technical drawings
- Organise installations teams and ensure performance onsite
- Contributing to the design of heavy industrial, special purpose machinery and systems
- Collaborating with other engineers and team members to ensure project success
What We’re Looking For:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, BSc) or equivalent, with alternative experience considered
- Good teamworking skills
- Efficient in problem solving
- Strong experience with 3D design and drafting tools like SolidWorks or Inventor
- Previous experience designing heavy industrial machinery, special purpose machinery and systems
- Ability to work independently, managing tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
- A proactive problem solver with excellent communication skills
