This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical engineering experience and a background in managing engineering projects.The Project Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
  • Strong mechanical engineering background with experience in project engineering.
  • Experience managing engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including fabrication, machining, and assembly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office is desirable.
The Project Engineer role will involve:
  • Managing mechanical engineering projects from design through to production and installation.
  • Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion.
  • Working closely with design, manufacturing, and installation teams.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Identifying and resolving technical and engineering challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
