The One Group are working with a global technology business who deliver intelligent propulsion systems into Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace and Marine sectors who are seeking a Senior Test Support Engineer to join there engine testing function in Northampton.The company seek innovative ways to lead technology development ensuring their customers' expectations are met, with that in mind they have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Support Engineer to join their test house where they test high performance engines to assist with hands on engineering support on test cells, new equipment installation and facility upgrades.The day-to-day duties include:

  • Cover investigation and resolution of day to day faults with the test equipment
  • Programming the dyno control/logging system with automated test routines and logging, alarms, PID controls
  • Responsible for specifying, costing, planning and delivering one or more planned upgrades to the test facility.
  • Data analysis and report writing

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced in testing and development work within the Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace or Marine sectors.
  • Understanding of internal combustion engines and their systems
  • Specification and implementation of instrumentation systems (temperature, pressure, vibration, strain etc), measurement and logging equipment. i.e. strong knowledge of how to configure and maintain test bed control systems. CP Cadet or AVL Puma preferred
