Senior FP&A Analyst

The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is currently working with a PE Backed profitable business in recruiting an experienced and qualified accountant. As a Senior FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy by delivering insightful analysis and reporting. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and the C-suite, you will support decision-making and drive strategic growth initiatives. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, you'll leverage your expertise to enhance our financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, ensuring the organisation remains agile and well-informed as it grows.

As the Senior FP&A Analyst, your key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders to analyse trends, forecast future opportunities, and provide strategic guidance.
  • Influence project outcomes and business strategies with actionable financial and commercial insights.
  • Identify risks and opportunities within the business, recommending actions to senior leadership.
  • Present monthly financial performance insights to senior leadership, supported by robust analysis.
  • Act as the Finance lead on operational business performance, highlighting potential risks to targets and providing commercial and financial rationale.
  • Lead the projection of key operational metrics for annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
  • Own the financial deliverables aligned with business targets.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess and analyse key data points.
  • Deliver commercial reports and presentations to the leadership team, investors, and the Board for approval.
  • Provide actionable commercial insights into operational activities across the organisation.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep dives to offer detailed perspectives on business performance.
  • Deliver weekly updates and monthly results reporting to business management, investors, and the Board, focusing on portfolio performance.

As the Senior FP&A Analyst, you must demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Qualifications & Experience: Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous with a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable financial outputs.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to organise, manage, and independently drive projects or tasks to successful completion.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced skills in financial analysis and reporting, with a strong understanding of business performance metrics and the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Expertise in engaging with senior business stakeholders, combining commercial acumen with an operational mindset to influence key decisions.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate and present findings.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in financial modelling with advanced Excel capabilities and a track record of developing insightful reports.
