Hours: Monday-Friday 07:30-17:00. Early finish on Fridays

The client:

Interaction Recruitment are proudly partnered with a leading Shoe Manufacturer in Northampton on their search to add a skilled and experienced Production Manager to their expanding team. Our client has been established for 150 years and manufactures some of the finest brands in the fashion industry.

The Responsibilities:

· Directly involved with ensuring that production targets are met in line with the Company requirements.

· Youll have great involvement in rolling out continuous improvement and Lean deployment the production process, and youll be heavily involved in improvement actions and training.

· Planning for daily and weekly resources to ensure that production targets are being met & exceeded.

· Liaise with senior management as appropriate.

· You will take charge on any employee disputes/ queries and ensure that your team operate in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures and Legislative requirements.

· Developing and maintaining a highly motivated production team.

· Youll take control of employee training, so must have prior experience in this.

· Monitor productivity and efficiencies to ensure that the factory is functioning in the most effective way.

· Ensure that Health & Safety regulations are followed by all.

· Monitoring attendance and sickness levels within your department by doing counselling sessions, return to work interviews and the absence monitoring procedure.

The Requirements:

· Previous Management experience in Manufacturing (Essential)

· Previous continuous improvement experience.

· Must be able to handle employee disputes.

· Experience leading training sessions and ability to identify areas which employees will need support with to improve efficiencies.

· Ability to communicate with

· Relevant qualifications NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)

· 4 years experience in management

Full UK Drivers License
