Macildowie are currently partnering with a well established, heritage Northampton business who are seeking a Regional Payroll Manager to lead and manage payroll operations across the North European region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global brand during a period of transformation and growth.

You'll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end payroll operations across six payroll entities, spanning the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. The role involves ensuring compliance with local payroll legislation, managing relationships with external payroll providers, and aligning with group standards.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders across HR and Finance, and will play a vital role in process improvements, legislative compliance, and team development.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing payroll across multiple European countries
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payrolls
  • Maintaining compliance with local laws and collective agreements
  • Collaborating with Group and Local HR for accurate data handling
  • Leading continuous improvements and automation opportunities

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing multi-country European payrolls
  • Strong knowledge of HCM systems and payroll legislation
  • Excellent Excel skills and high attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
