As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Lead Technologist / Assistant Technical Manager to join their business.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Lead and manage the Technical Assistance Team, overseeing attendance, workload, performance, appraisals, and development.* Support the technical and production managers to ensure the safety, legality, and quality of the products.* Evaluate any breaches or issues in standard processing or factory operations, proposing and implementing corrective action plans.* Collaborate with the production manager on action plans, escalating issues to the technical manager when needed.* Promote enhancements to the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with factory compliance.* Work with colleagues to ensure departmental targets are met.* Ensure finished products and factory standards comply with relevant legislation.* Handle customer complaints and trace issues, keeping the technical manager updated.* Assist with technical and process innovation initiatives.* Ensure the effective operation of the corrective action system and HACCP, conducting regular reviews.* Manage process changes and product launches to meet technical requirements and assist with internal audits.About you:* Experience in the food industry in a similar role is required* experience in leading and managing is requiredIf you believe you have the skills and personality to fit these requirements please either apply via this advert or call Henderson Brown on for more information.
