As a leading component provider, we specialise in CNC machining plastic components, lightweight foams, composite patterns, and moulds. The industries we supply include Formula 1, Aerospace, Marine, Automotive, Oil and Gas, as well as prison and police authorities.Due to continued company growth, we are delighted to present this fantastic opportunity to work in our Inspection Department.Position: Quality InspectorType of Position: Full-Time (38.5 hours a week)Monday to Thursday: 07:45 am to 16:15 pmFriday: 07:45 am to 14:45 pmRemuneration: Dependent on experienceExperience:* Minimum of 1 year's experience working in a precision engineering environment.* Experience in Aerospace or Formula 1 would be advantageous.* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings & GD&T.* Good understanding of manual measuring tools.* Experience working with 3D scanners & CMM machines would be advantageous.People Skills:* Attention to detail* Organised* Self-motivated* Natural problem solver* Ability to work and solve problems unsupervised* Confident communicatorOperating Systems:* Hexagon Romer Arm 3D Scanners - Polyworks* CMM - PolyworksThe Role:We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a quality inspection background to assist with the day-to-day quality requirements of a fast-growing precision engineering company. You will be responsible for inspecting components using various techniques, including Laser Scanners, CMM (training can be provided), and hand-held measuring devices such as micrometres, verniers, and height gauges. You will also be responsible for completing FAIRs and Inspection Reports.Key Responsibilities:* Inspect components within the required timescales and to the required standards.* Complete FAIRs and Inspection Reports.* Program and operate the Hexagon Romer Arm.* Program and operate the LKQ CMM.* Ensure quality issues are communicated effectively to the relevant department to prevent ongoing issues.* Input quality issues into the ERP system.* Contribute to RCAs and continuous improvement activities.If you feel you are a match for the above, please can you send your CV to
