The Client

Interaction Recruitment are proudly partnered with a leading Shoe Manufacturer in Northampton on their search to add an innovative Planning and Product Developer to their expanding team. Our client has been established for 150 years and manufactures some of the finest brands in the fashion industry.

The Responsibilities

  • You will be involved with planning activities for the shoe factory.
  • You’ll carry out industrial reporting for each of the footwear production sections.

Planning activities which will include:

  • Producing department day sheets
  • Production planning throughout the operation
  • Confirming weekly orders
  • Managing box labels
  • Chase order status’ and provide updates to the customers.

Product Development activities will include:

  • Working closely with the Italian design team and the UK development team to accurately meet specifications for new style specifications.
  • Create a sample list and a project plan with timelines for the team.
  • Organise despatches of created samples. These will go to global showrooms to showcase the companies product range.
  • You’ll take photos and catalogue all of the new styles produced in the factory.
  • Be the point of contact for all product configuration and specs.

The Requirements

  • Experience in planning is needed
  • Expert user on ERP/MRP systems such as Stealth 3000
  • Expert user on Product Life Cycle management software
  • You must have an excellent eye for detail
  • Highly organised
  • Strong communicator
  • Flexible approach to your work
  • Proficient Microsoft skills
