Impact Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a an established manufacturing company based in Northampton. They are looking to recruit for an Experienced Production Supervisor to join them on a Permanent basis ASAP!

Role: Production Supervisor

Location: Northampton

Shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm

Pay Rate: 13.90 per hour

Duties:

  • Direct supervision of Team Leaders and Manufacturing Operators.
  • Ensuring the safety of oneself and all team members in the workplace.
  • Address and resolve any production-related issues, including HR, Health & Safety, and welfare concerns. Escalate issues to senior management if necessary.
  • Train manufacturing operators to achieve the required competency levels.
  • Ensure an adequate number of trained personnel are available to meet daily production targets.
  • Plan and organize work on production lines to meet customer requirements and lead times.
  • Ensure the correct materials are delivered to presses and allocated to the correct work orders.
  • Maximize production line efficiency and ensure that manufacturing, trimming, and inspection targets are met by all operators.
  • Correct interpretation and application of visual and mechanical specifications.
  • Accurate and legible documentation for stock and quality records.
  • Meeting cycle times and production targets as per Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

The ideal candidate must:

  • Ability to read and understand written and visual instructions.
  • Ability to complete written company documentation for monitoring and reporting purposes.
  • Ability to accurately count and record product quantities.
  • Understanding of company risk assessments.
  • Manual handling skills (subject to assessment).
  • Strong reading, writing, and numerical skills.
  • Good interpersonal and supervisory abilities.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
