Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with an international biogas plant manufacturer that offer a diverse range of services, to recruit for a Site Manager / Project Manager to oversee construction and commissioning phases of new anaerobic digestion assets.

The Site Manager / Project Manager role comes with a flexible salary depending on experience, plus company vehicle or car allowance, travel, accommodation and company bonus.

We're keen to hear from those with minimal experience as well as experienced Project and Site Managers as we're looking for a Junior to Mid-level Project Manager / Site Manager who want to progress their career in the Renewable Energy sector.


Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Head of Project Management, you will:

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and liaise with additional suppliers.
  • Monitor project progress and project schedules during the project realisation.
  • Ensure strong heath & safety compliance for subcontractors, in line with quality, procedures and work instructions.
  • Oversee cost control and risk management responsibilities.
  • Conduct quality assurance for plant components, including subcontractor qualification.
  • Stakeholder management, both internally and externally.
  • Actively engage in project teams from construction though to completion and commissioning phases.
  • Conduct on-site meetings with clients, engineers and subcontractors, etc.
  • Other duties as required.



Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Relevant degree, preferably in civil engineering or mechanical engineering.
  • Experienced overseeing large construction projects through to completion.
  • Background in construction projects is key.



Personal skills

The Site Manager role would suit someone who is:

  • Effective communicator, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
  • Willing to travel to ongoing projects around the UK and have a strong site-based/ client facing presence.
  • Full UK driving license.
