Have you got a background in Production or Manufacturing? Well here at Impact Recruitment we are hiring a skilled Machine Operative to work with a great company based in Northampton. They are committed to finding individuals with a good working attitude that they can train to operate a variety of machinery.

Pay Rate: 12.21 - 13.00

Hours: 7:30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am - 2:30pm Friday

Location: NN4 Brackmills

Job Duties:

  • Support the set-up and operation of machines, ensuring materials are accurately cut to specified widths and lengths.
  • Monitor machine performance, ensuring consistency and accuracy to avoid wastage and ensure quality.
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of machinery, supporting operators in preparing runs, loading materials, and checking inks.
  • Perform quality checks on materials to ensure that all items meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Load and unload raw materials, finished products, and other items safely and efficiently, following company protocols.
  • Conduct visual and physical quality checks at various stages of the processes, identifying and reporting any inconsistencies or defects.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments is desirable.
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
