We are currently looking for candidates with experience in IT Services and Resource Augmentation spend categories, with procurement expertise in purchasing Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Statement of Work resources and utilising systems and tools to support in this space, such as Vendor Management System (VMS).

Working for a large multi-national bank on a hybrid basis.

Locations are Northampton or Glasgow 2/3 days per week.

  • The Sourcing Manager role operates within a team of sourcing managers, responsible for shaping and executing deals across the Category.
  • The role will support the relevant Category Manager in executing deals and category strategy in the relevant spend area and independently leading projects with the businesses and functions across the bank.
  • The business operates a flexible alignment to categories and whilst the role is primarily aligned to one category, there will be opportunities and requirements to support and explore other categories (including other categories listed above), as the Team Lead requires.
  • The broader team are directly responsible for managing commercial deals in excess of £2b annually and are required to work collaboratively and strategically with the internal teams sitting within Procurement, Legal and SME functions, including External Suppliers, to deliver a consistently high quality product, service and minimise risk and cost to the Bank.
  • The role holder will be accountable for end-to-end delivery of deals primarily aligned to sub-category.
  • The role holder will be accountable for the management of end-to-end sourcing events including RFX, auctions, commercial negotiations with relevant suppliers as appropriate in conjunction with the Legal support teams to ensure consistently excellent and favourable commercial terms which always mitigate business risk for the business.
  • The role holder will be accountable for ensuring that all relevant sourcing documentation is inputted to the deal management and contract systems to be compliant with business and internal procurement policy requirements
  • The role holder will be required to build and maintain a strong operational and strategic network with the category management teams to report, measure and improve on deal execution capability.
  • There is a genuine global dimension to the remit as well as substantial autonomy and responsibility. The role holder will be interacting at senior level both internally and externally and must possess relevant interpersonal skills
