Procurement Assistant

We’re recruiting for a Procurement Assistant to join a dynamic team in NN6 (note: the location can be challenging by public transport). This is a full-time, office-based role, with working hours from 0900-1730, Monday to Friday. You’ll receive a competitive salary ranging between £25,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience, with great benefits.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Administering supplier tenders and managing procurement processes
  • Reviewing project briefs and working closely with the Project Manager to meet objectives
  • Interpreting drawings and plans to identify purchasing requirements
  • Working with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials such as flooring, lighting, and fixtures
  • Coordinating with site managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Providing regular updates to the project team and resolving any issues that arise
  • Maintaining high quality standards, monitoring supplier performance, and feeding back to ensure continuous improvement
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining design standards

About you:

  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and can think on your feet to solve problems
  • You're a strong communicator and team player who builds great working relationships with colleagues and suppliers alike
  • You’re detail-oriented, organised, and able to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • You have excellent IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems

Bonus points if you have:

  • Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within commercial, retail, or interior design projects
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position is desirable, but not essential
