Quality Assurance Technician

Salary: 14.93phr

Location: Northampton (NN3)

Contract: 10-month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 6am - 1pm & 1pm - 8pm (Weekly Rotating)

Benefits: 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work closely with the production team to maintain and enhance product quality. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Quality Assurance: Investigate, analyse, and resolve quality issues.
  • Technical Support: Provide support to the production department.
  • Documentation: Maintain QA records and procedures.
  • Laboratory Management: Ensure laboratory supplies and equipment are maintained.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse and report on quality trends.
  • Product Testing: Conduct analysis, development, and testing of products, raw materials, and packaging.
  • Trial Monitoring: Monitor, analyse, and report on technical trials.
  • Supplier Liaison: Manage and process supplier complaints.

The Person

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Experience in quality assurance within a fast-paced, demanding environment, with familiarity in the tasks outlined above.
  • Ideally, a degree-level education with strong skills in Maths and Sciences, or equivalent QA experience, preferably in a related industry.
  • Familiarity with modern testing methods and analytical techniques.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • High attention to detail, excellent numeracy, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience in similar / relevant industries.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of laboratory and QA methods.
