Ridgeway & Co are proud to be partnering with a Groundworks contractor in Northampton to find an experienced Quantity Surveyor at QS / Senior QS level. This is an opportunity for a skilled professional to join a dynamic team with a competitive salary of up to 100,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience. The role will be solely based within the London region.

Job Description

  • Oversee financial and legal matters throughout the course of construction projects.
  • Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
  • Manage and plan all costs involved in construction projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
  • Work closely with the project manager, advising on the financial implications of construction methods and strategies.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of construction regulations and contracts.
  • Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, such as materials, quantities, labour, and time.
  • Negotiate and establish the costs of sub-contracts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely final accounts preparation and manage payments to contractors.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
  • Proven experience in the property industry, specifically in construction.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and other Quantity Surveying software.
  • Strong contractual, financial, and project management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, team working, and communication skills.
