Client Details

Independent Northamptonshire based construction consultancy who specialise in the residential market.

They work directly with developers, architects, and homeowner who are looking to take the hassle out of residential project. This can be from a one off high end new build right through to a 40 plot developments.

With their expertise and size they are able to estimate, project manage and cost control projects of this nature, all in house.

You would obviously have to like to resi market for this one ! but if that is your space this is a first class client to come, join and progress.

Description

The role is for a senior quantity surveyor/commercial manager who has experience running quantity surveying departments and has previously aided department growth. The individual will require the expertise to carry out the relevant quantity surveying tasks as well as working with existing clients and working on business development in order to grow the department.

  • Quantity Surveying background in residential and commercial projects.
  • At least five years' experience in a similar quantity surveying roles.
  • Experience in all aspects of quantity surveying including pre and post contract duties Takes offs
  • Bills of quantities
  • Cost planning
  • Contracts
  • Tender analysis
  • Valuations and variation management
  • Budget reporting
  • Final accounts
  • Familiar with SMM7, NRM3 and major forms of measurement methods.
  • Conversant in all major forms of contract e.g. JCT.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office.
  • Someone wants to grow the department with excellent potential for bonuses based on performance and new business.

Profile

This fits a quantity surveyor who is experienced in the resi market and someone who has grown and development teams.

Doesn't matter if your background is not all resi as long as you have a good working knowledge of the sector and are keen to stay and progress in that field.

Comfortable with client facing

Training and managing a QS team

Project guidance

Ideally RICS or CIOB but not a deal breaker if not

Good at working with other departments to achieve project success
