Senior Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 per annum
Location: Ideally Hertfordshire-based with weekly travel to Manchester (1-2 days per week)

The Role:
This is an exclusive opportunity to join their team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, contributing to the successful delivery of a £25 million project in Manchester. You will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of the project, ensuring tight cost control, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Full commercial management of a high-value construction project.
Overseeing cost planning, forecasting, and budget management.
Procuring and managing subcontractors.
Preparing, negotiating, and finalizing contracts.
Providing clear reports and updates to senior management.
Ensuring project compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Strong track record in managing large-scale construction projects (£20m+).
Familiarity with working for tier 1 or tier 2 contractors such as Glencar, TSL, Caddick, or McLaren.
Excellent cost management, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
Flexible to travel to Manchester 1-2 times per week while being based in Hertfordshire or nearby.
