Reed Property & Construction are currently partnered with an extraordinary business based in Northampton to recruit an Estates Planning professional to join the Asset Strategy team.

The role involves ensuring the operational alignment of assets to strategic direction, data collation, analysis of space across the estate, and contributing to the development and improvement of systems and processes for better utilisation of the estate.

This person will work with minimal supervision and collaborate with colleagues across different functional areas.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Assist the Asset Strategy Manager in property management tasks including leases, acquisitions, and disposals.
  • Act as a deputy for the Manager in key meetings and ensure continuity of service.
  • Undertake onsite data collation activities for occupation and utilisation of the estate.
  • Manage workspace allocation enquiries and develop workspace allocation models.
  • Assess risks within the Strategy and Space Management area and ensure they are minimised or managed safely.
  • Provide space-related data for Full Economic Costing submissions.
  • Liaise with staff to ensure effective use of workspace assets and support strategic plans.
  • Assist in report preparation for various committees.
  • Maintain awareness of modern workspace planning techniques and promote best practices.
  • Work closely with the projects team to align planning and delivery.
  • Assess accommodation requests against strategic objectives and formulate solutions.
  • Facilitate the implementation of committee decisions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Estates Strategy development plans.
  • Manage the processing of operational space requests.
  • Identify and eliminate inefficient occupation of the estate.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Will ideally be a graduate with a business management, real estate or property related degree i.e. surveying.
  • This candidate will ideally have experience working in an estates department or asset planning/management department however similar relatable experience will be considered
  • Must have some experience using AutoCAD – basic design required in role
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaborative with strong presentation/reporting skills.
  • IT literate with an understanding of typical estates systems.
  • Focused on delivering excellent customer/client care.
  • Resilient and capable of self-direction to achieve deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to translate estates briefs into spatial allocations and designs.
