Hays is recruiting for a temporary 12-week Receptionist assignment in Brixworth, starting next week. This is a fantastic chance to join a reputable company and gain valuable experience.

About the Role: This 37.5-hour-per-week, Monday-Friday temporary assignment offers a competitive rate of pay. As the first point of contact, you'll make a great first impression!

Working Hours: 08:00 AM to 16:00 PM or 09:00 AM to 17:00 PM with a 30-minute lunch break.On-Site Requirements: This role requires being on-site 5 days a week.

Contract Details: The contract length is 3 months.

Additional Information: The successful candidate will initially shadow a current employee until they feel comfortable in the role. The interview will take place in person. Basic customer service training will be provided.Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the reception area and visitor process (safety procedures, sign-in, parking).
  • Handling incoming calls, taking messages, and directing them appropriately.
  • Assisting with event coordination.
  • Providing administrative support, including document management.
  • Processing enquiries and ensuring timely responses.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing posts.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area.
  • Fulfilling office and facilities requirements.
  • Promoting Health and Safety in the workplace.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in an office-based environment (preferred).
  • Proactive and organised approach.
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Teams essential).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good telephone manners.
