We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Café Manager to help us manage a new Café in the village. This is a lead front of house role so youll be keen to ensure our customers all have a positive and welcoming experience, looking after everything from the quality of the food and drinks to the general running of the cafe.
The new café will be run by a small and powerful team! Everyone will have a can do attitude and take initiative to get stuck into a variety of different positions whether its pulling espresso shots, steaming milk, serving guests or clearing tables.
The ideal candidate will have a fantastic attitude, willingness to learn and be something who wants to stay with us and help us grow! Ideally you live in around Earls Barton, Northampton or the surrounding areas with easy access to work.
The role is full time and will require you to work weekends and public holidays but we will always plan you shifts fairly and ensure you manage to get a good work/life balance.
ABOUT YOU
- Previous experience in a supervisor, or assistant manager role.
- Passion for specialty coffee and great food.
- Commercial acumen and appreciation of budgets.
- Working knowledge of shift patterns and planning.
- Excellent customer service and people skills.
- Able to exemplify high standards in health and safety.
- Hold a current food safety certificate.
- Bonus points if youre open to supporting our social media.
Your Key Responsibilities will Include
- Oversee daily operations of the café, including managing staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring smooth workflow
- To complete the opening and closing checklists and produce weekly rotas
- Ensure all deliveries are checked and put away promptly and correctly
- Delegate where necessary and ensure the team are proactive at all times
- Manage inventory of stock, compiling and ordering stock.
- Ensuring processes are followed and customer satisfaction is maintained.
- Helping to prepare food options at a high standard.
- Ensuring waste is kept to a minimum

Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Barista: 1 year (required)
- Experience as a restaurant/cafe/coffee shop/cafe bakery/catering manager in a busy, fast paced commercial customer facing operation
- Inventory & Stock management: 1 year (required)
