Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will provide essential support in managing day-to-day financial transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of the companys accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims with accuracy and efficiency.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
Assist with payroll preparation and related administrative tasks.
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in the accounting system.
Handle supplier and customer queries related to accounts.
Assist with VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.
Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
AAT qualification or working towards one (desirable but not essential).
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
