Job Title: Accounts Assistant (Sales Ledger)

Location: Central Northampton

Salary: Up to £28,000

Type: Permanent - Hybrid working available - Up to 3 days a week from home

Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours a week

Study support is available for the right candidate

Key Benefits:

  • Holiday Package - 23 days a year plus bank holidays, Christmas shutdown, 1 day added every year for 4 years to a max of 27.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Receipt Processing: Manage sales data and reconcile payments for accurate entry into Sage using Connections software.
  • Purchase Ledger: Handle invoices, liaise with suppliers, and swiftly resolve discrepancies.
  • Sales Ledger: Reconcile and allocate EPOS accounts in Sage, ensuring everything balances.
  • Cash Book: Process daily bank deposits and manage transactions smoothly.
  • Account Reconciliation: Stay on top of Lottery/Payzone/Paypoint/Post Office control accounts and cash/card reconciliations.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, look-ups, and basic macros.
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar role.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a team-player attitude.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work independently when needed
