Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM + Additional (Full Teacher Responsibilities)

Position Overview:
An Ofsted Good school in Northampton is seeking a motivated and skilled English Teacher to join their teaching team. This role is initially available on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent position for the right individual. Alternatively, the school is open to making a direct permanent appointment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons across a range of key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Teach a broad and balanced English curriculum to students at various Key Stages.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting student development.
  • Participate in curriculum development and departmental planning.
  • Take on full teacher responsibilities, including lesson planning, marking, and reporting.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student success.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English, with the ability to teach both language and literature.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring a love for English in students.
