Working Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM + Additional (Full Teacher Responsibilities)

Position Overview:
An Ofsted Good school in Northampton is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and able PE Teacher to join their successful Physical Education department. The position is available from January 2025, and the school is open to both temporary and permanent placements, with the option to transition from Temp to Perm for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Teach a broad PE curriculum to students across various key stages, ensuring lessons cater to different abilities.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and encouragement to help them achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to the organisation and supervision of extracurricular sports activities and competitions.
  • Take on full teacher responsibilities, including planning, marking, and reporting.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management, ensuring a safe and positive environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred.
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Physical Education.
  • Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire students to develop a love for physical activity and sports.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
