Sonic Summary

The company is seeking a Buyer with experience in purchasing technical products or components to support their Purchasing department.
The successful candidate should be able to read and translate engineering drawings and have a background in the manufacturing industry.
This is a permanent position based in Northampton, with a salary dependent on experience.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Friday from 8am to 4pm.

Purchase a range of technical components/commodities and parts
Commercial management of the supplier base
Understand and negotiate commercial contracts
Manage supplier delivery issues
Work closely with engineers, discussing technical requirements and manufacturing processes
Read and translate technical drawings

Experience working within the manufacturing industry
Well-versed purchasing technical products/components/parts
The ability to read technical drawings
Self-starter who can work independently as well as in a team
