Position Title: Store Manager

Reports To: Area Manager

Job Purpose: As a Store Manager, your role is to drive sales growth by leading, developing, and motivating your team. You will implement effective sales strategies, foster strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and ensure excellence in store presentation, health and safety, and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish clear objectives, setting a strong example with exceptional behavior and presentation.

  • Collaborate with the Area Manager to recruit, coach, develop, and evaluate the team while managing sales, compliance, and HR tasks efficiently.

  • Build and nurture both internal and external business relationships, contributing to a positive team environment.

  • Communicate effectively across all levels using appropriate methods and language.

  • Drive commercial initiatives within the store under the Area Manager’s guidance, ensuring the team utilizes the sales process successfully.

  • Manage customer data proactively, leveraging insights from the market and understanding competitive dynamics.

  • Track and evaluate KPI performance, implementing actions to address any gaps.

  • Ensure compliance and prevent fraud through consistent reviews and robust operational procedures.

  • Oversee discounts and team transactions, ensuring targets and objectives are consistently achieved.

  • Conduct self-assessments and maintain compliance through regular store audits.

  • Take responsibility for health and safety, completing monthly checklists and upholding a safe environment.

  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring all complaints are resolved swiftly and satisfactorily.

  • Perform additional duties as required to support store operations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Align with the Store’s Commercial & Development plans as outlined by the Area Manager.

  • Maintain full compliance with all operational policies and procedures.

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations in partnership with the Health & Safety Manager.

  • Follow the Grey Fleet & Hire Car policy without exception.
