Setting:Acute Mental Health hospital

Hours:Flexible, shift patterns include 10/12 hour day shifts or 10/12 hour night shifts with respective breaks. Monday-Sunday.

Overview:

We are looking for individuals who are kind and caring and have a genuine desire to help and support young people and adults with acute mental health needs.

  • Provide person-centered care and emotional support to patients
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care and social engagement
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, ensuring patient safety and well-being
  • Monitor patient behavior, document observations, and report concerns
  • Encourage independence and recovery-focused activities
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and health & safety regulations

Requirements:

  • Experience in mental health or care settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and resilient approach
  • Willingness to undergo training and professional development
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights

Required qualifications:

  • Trainingin de-escalation techniques within last 12 months.

  • Must have MAPA training/CPI evidence or Stress Inoculation Training (SIT)training evidence

  • Care Certificate preferable.

  • Safeguarding qualification from last 12 months.

  • Mandatory training from the last 12 months.
