Residential Childrens Support Worker - Northampton, UK


Join our dynamic and growing team in Northampton as a Residential Children's Support Worker. They are a hands-on, fast-paced company dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
  • Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of all residents.
  • Implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
  • Support children with challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions.
  • Engage in three -to-one support sessions to encourage personal development.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
  • Be available for waking night shifts as required.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in care work, particularly with children and young people.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic care practices and support for children with learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, complex care needs
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Experience in control and restraint techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy and patience when working with children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care or equivalent.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service.
