Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the well-being and safety of all residents.
- Implement individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
- Support children with challenging behaviours and promote positive interactions.
- Engage in three -to-one support sessions to encourage personal development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills.
- Be available for waking night shifts as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in care work, particularly with children and young people.
- Knowledge of therapeutic care practices and support for children with learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, complex care needs
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Experience in control and restraint techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and patience when working with children and young people.
- Relevant qualifications in health and social care or equivalent.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
