Role Overview: As a Children Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a diverse range of special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • To provide professional 1:1 support and supervision for pupils aged between 7-16, encouraging their engagement in the learning process and working towards agreed aims and objectives.
  • To plan, deliver and evidence sections of individual learning programmes to pupils
  • To support vulnerable young people helping to improve their emotional wellbeing raise their aspirations to learn and support them in achieving their potential

About School: Special school in Stevenage for pupils aged 2 to 19 years who have severe or profound learning difficulties

Qualifications and Experience: To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A genuine passion for working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to varying student needs.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience working in a school or care setting in the UK (Mandatory)
  • Proficieny in English Language (Mandatory)
  • Right to Work in the UK (NO Sponsorship Provided. Candidates on Skilled Worker Visa are not eligible for this position)
  • Drive! Not approachable by Public Trasnport
