About the role

We have a fantastic career opportunity for a Service Manager position to join the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub team here at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust.

MASH is the first point of contact for partner agencies and the community when they have safeguarding concerns for children and young people. Our MASH team work closely with co - located partners and agencies to identify and assess the risks and needs of children at the earliest possible opportunity.

What will you be doing?

You will have a sound understanding and ability in relation to effective management practices, particularly as they relate to service planning and performance management and development of services and staff.

You will have operational responsibility for the Team Managers and the quality of practice undertaken by the teams in the processing and decision making regarding all new referrals. Your day-to-day will involve overseeing the MASH, maintaining close proximity with the Emergency Duty Team (EDT). The teams include a range of skilled staff and social workers who are friendly and confident professionals, who can work collaboratively to very tight deadlines and ensure the child’s needs are paramount and their voice is evident throughout.

Our teams are based in Northampton at the Criminal Justice Centre.

About you

It will be important to you to make a personal contribution towards improving our service. You should be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England with extensive post-qualifying experience of statutory social care practice and multi-agency contact is highly essential.

Level 5 NVQ Management qualification, or equivalent relevant experience.

You will have a sound understanding and ability in relation to effective management practices, particularly as they relate to service planning and performance management and development of services and staff.

Driving Licence is essential.
