About the Role: As a Children’s Safeguarding Social Worker, you will be at the heart of supporting children, young people, and families. Your role will involve:

  • Assessing and planning interventions that protect and promote the welfare of children.
  • Working closely with families to ensure children can safely remain at home whenever possible.
  • Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to deliver tailored, solution-focused support.
  • Making a genuine difference by fostering positive, strength-based relationships that empower families.

Our Safeguarding teams are friendly, highly supportive, and creative, using a relational practice approach to keep families together when it’s safe to do so. Covering a diverse and vibrant county, we have offices across Northamptonshire, including Northampton, Daventry, Corby, Kettering, and Wellingborough.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified and Registered Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • Completed ASYE and experience working with children and families.
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Confidence in making sound decisions and carrying out effective social care, supported by experienced colleagues and managers.
