About The School: The school site is a multi-sited AP Academy providing Alternative Education for young people who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, or have emotionally based school avoidance. They also cater to pupils with EHC Plans who would otherwise attend specialist provision. The academy serves over 220 pupils annually across various campuses in Corby, Northampton, Wellingborough, and Kettering.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will assist teachers in supporting the work of pupils both within and beyond the classroom. This role includes direct work with pupils, administrative tasks, and the preparation of materials and displays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with challenging young people, their parents/carers, colleagues, and representatives of other agencies.
  • Work flexibly and conscientiously as part of a team and independently.
  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and supporting pupil progress.
  • Perform administrative tasks and prepare materials for lessons and displays.

Requirements:

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to make a significant difference in the lives of young people.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure check.
