About the RoleWest Northamptonshire Council's Adult Social Care division has undergone an exciting transformation since becoming a unitary authority in April 2021. We are proud to implement a model of care that puts communities and people at the centre of everything we do. We are now looking for passionate and accomplished Social Workers to join our diverse teams, based across Northamptonshire. Our teams include:

  • Community Hub Teams - Serving adults with varied needs from across Northamptonshire, including rural areas such as Daventry, Towcester, and Brackley.
  • Learning Disability Team - Supporting adults with learning disabilities throughout West Northamptonshire.
  • Flow and Capacity Team (FACT) - Coordinating support for people in hospital, in reablement services, or transferring to care settings.
  • Assurance and Safeguarding Team - Investigating cases of abuse or neglect, ensuring adults stay safely within their communities.
  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team - Assessing individuals in hospital or care homes who may be deprived of liberty.
  • Discharge and Review Team (DART) - Specialising in Continuing Healthcare (CHC) assessments, supporting people in residential and nursing homes.

What We're Looking ForWe are seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about making a difference in adult social care. You must hold a recognised Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England. We welcome proactive, innovative problem-solvers with excellent communication skills who thrive in a collaborative environment. Newly qualified Social Workers are encouraged to apply, and we offer a structured induction and development programme.
