Safeguarding Team Manager - Hybrid - Up to £59,827

NonStop Care are working with a well established local authority in the East Midlands who are looking for an experienced Team Manager to join their Safeguarding Service. The ideal candidate will have a background working within busy safeguarding teams whilst holding management responsibilities.

This position offers hybrid working options, allowing you to maximise your time spent at home and completely manage your own diary, meaning you'll create a fantastic work life balance.

Responsibilities you will hold include;

  • Lead, manage and be accountable for a team of Senior Social Workers, Social Workers and Family Support Workers in the delivery of statutory and legislative duties and requirements
  • Lead the team to safeguard and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people in the authority whilst effectively managing risk
  • Ensure the key performance targets as they apply to the team & service are met
  • Carry out this role in a collaborative manner that promotes equality of opportunity and joint working with other teams across council and partners, while challenging and supporting the team to ensure timely and positive outcomes for children, young people and their families
  • Take a leading role in promoting, delivering and embracing values to your team and peers.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England.
  • An up to date DBS check
  • Experience working in Frontline Services, ideally whilst holding management responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of the legislative framework and relevant guidance and procedures.
