Here at Impact Recruitment, we are hiring a CMM Programmer for an advanced manufacturing company based in Northampton. Specialising in producing components for a wide range of industries including Formula 1, Aerospace, Marine, Automotive and Oil & Gas.

Due to continued growth they are seeking a highly motivated Quality Inspector with CMM programming experience to join their quality department.

Salary: 40,000

Hours: 8am - 4pm (Early Finish Friday)

Location: Northampton

Role Overview:

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that components meet the required specifications and quality standards. You will utilise a range of inspection techniques, including Laser Scanners, CMM, and handheld measuring tools such as micrometres, verniers, and height gauges. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing FAIRs and inspection reports, ensuring that any quality concerns are effectively communicated and addressed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect components within required timescales and quality standards.
  • Complete FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and inspection documentation.
  • Program and operate Hexagon Romer Arm 3D Scanners and LKQ CMM
  • Identify and communicate quality issues to relevant departments.
  • Input quality-related data into the ERP system.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a precision engineering environment.
  • Experience within Aerospace or Formula 1 industries is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Good understanding of manual measuring tools.
  • Experience with programming CMM machines is necessary.
